I'd never snuggled in my life, but I was positive I couldn't live without it now. But I didn't want cuddles from just anyone; I wanted Hutch's caring touch. I could only hope he stuck around. He made me want to be a better person, and to do all I could to make him proud. I never wanted to let him down. He made me feel important; worthy. Maybe even loved.

Though the emotion was foreign to me, I was sure I felt it for Hutch. I doubted he was ready to hear it so quickly, so I would keep the words to myself. I'd tuck them away, and pray one day he felt the same. For now, I'd savor every moment together.

"I'm thinking we should order pizza for dinner," Hutch said randomly, and I nodded against his chest.

"That sounds great." Not only because I'd somehow worked off the giant lunch I ate and was starting to feel hungry again, but because it meant that I got to enjoy another meal with him. I wanted to share every experience, every second with Hutch.

Chapter Six

Hutch

I sat on the edge of the mattress and smiled down at Dalton, who was still snoozing away. I had an amazing time with him the day before; lunch, axe throwing, our sexy escapades, and then eating pizza together in his bed as we talked and laughed into the wee hours of the morning.

Dalton fell asleep in my arms and though he didn't invite me to stay over, there was no way in hell I was leaving his side. So I pressed gentle kisses to his forehead until I joined him in slumber.

It surprised me how readily he responded to my touch, or even reached out for it. After the shock of my first hug wore off, it was as if he couldn't get enough. But I supposed when a person spent his life without intimate contact, it would leave him hungry for it. I would feed him for an eternity.

I ran my fingers through Dalton's long hair until his eyes fluttered open. A sleepy smile crossed his lips when he saw that I was wearing one of his shirts I'd found in his closet.

"Good morning," I greeted as he hoisted himself into a sitting position. "How did you sleep?"

"Better than I can ever remember." I had no doubt; his soul could rest peacefully, knowing its match and protector was nearby.

I didn't sleep as well; although I enjoyed being close to Dalton, the need to secure our bond knocked on my brain and kept me awake. I needed to explain everything to him, but there was something else important to discuss now. His needs came first always, and I wanted to help however I could.

"I need to talk to you about something," I told him, and his expression grew anxious.

"Is it about what we did last night? You don't regret it, do you? I hope you know it had nothing to do with my parole; like I wasn't trying to get an easier sentence or something."

"I know that," I replied with a smile, and he sighed in relief. "It meant everything to me, and so do you."

He smiled back before scrunching his eyebrows and signaling his finger between us. "Is this allowed? You won't get in trouble, will you?"

"I've got special privileges," I responded with a wink, and Dalton's face fell again.

"Have you done this before?"

"Hell no."

"Good." He nodded once, firmly, making me chuckle.

"No, what I need to tell you has nothing to do with your parole." He gave me his full attention, and I wasn't sure how to begin the conversation besides just jumping right in. "Have you ever heard of age play?"

Dalton squished his lips as he thought for a moment before shaking his head. "No. What is it?"

I took a deep breath to gather my thoughts. "It's a lifestyle and a very special relationship between a caregiver and a little. The caregiver makes sure the little's needs are met, sometimes in the form of feeding them, changing their diaper, playing games with them…it can be different for everyone."

"Oh, I get it; you're talking about how a parent/child relationship should be." It broke my heart that Dalton said should be, as it was never his own experience.

"In a way," I nodded. "Actually, the caregivers are typically called Daddy or Mommy by their little, but they aren't related. They can share a loving relationship, or it can only be for playtime, but it's between consensual adults."

"So…" Dalton squinted his eyes again. "One adult takes care of another adult who is doing things a child might do, like play or use diapers?"

I was proud of how quickly he understood, especially when I was probably explaining things terribly. "Yes. How do you feel about it?"

Dalton appeared uncomfortable as he hugged his arms around his chest. "I'm sorry, but that's not for me." His eyes were full of sadness when they looked into mine. "Does that mean you're done with me?"
