When he’s bare from the waist up, I admire his fit, muscular body. My eyes land on a tattoo on his left pec of a hockey puck and a stick with his brother’s name and a set of dates scrawled over it. Knowing the meaning behind it, breaks my heart. I place an open-mouthed kiss over it, wishing I could heal his heart with my kiss.

When I step back, he lifts my shirt over my head and then yanks the cups of my bra down, my breasts spilling out of their confines. His lips wrap around one of the hardened peaks, and he sucks on my nipple. My back arches at the delicious feeling of his mouth on my body.

As he massages my breasts, giving them his full attention, I unzip his pants and tug them down, along with his briefs. My fingers wrap around his shaft. It’s thick and smooth, similar to… Oh no, don’t go there, Mia. I close my eyes and shake the thoughts of the way Drew’s dick felt out of my head.

“On the bed,” Brayden growls, lifting and tossing me onto the center of my bed. He kicks off his pants and loafers, while I push my skirt and panties down my legs.

As he crawls up the bed, I take in how beautiful he is. From his corded muscles, to his six-pack abs. It’s obvious he takes good care of himself. For a second, I wonder what he thinks when he sees me. My stomach and thighs are soft in contrast to his hard, toned body. My thoughts flit to my mom’s comments about my weight, but I push them away, refusing to let her ruin this moment.

He crawls up my body, and I shiver slightly at the way our naked bodies rub against each other. The night I was with Drew, I was nervous… He was a stranger. But with Brayden, it feels different. It feels right.

Brayden’s hands land on either side of me, as he rains kisses all over my face: each of my cheeks, my forehead, the corner of my mouth. My top lip. Bottom lip. Then he works his way down, trailing kisses across my collarbone. He licks each of my nipples, and my body goes into a frenzy.

“You’re so fucking perfect,” he murmurs, kissing his way down the center of my torso and landing at the apex of my legs. My heart beats erratically as I watch Brayden spread my legs and kiss the inside of my thigh. I sigh in contentment, which has him glancing up and grinning at me.

This is how it should be.

A guy who wants me.

Appreciates me.

Needs me.

And isn’t ashamed to admit it.

Brayden buries his face between my legs and licks up my center. He strokes my clit, working me over with his fingers and tongue, until I’m crying out my release as my body trembles in pleasure. Somewhere in my room, I can hear a phone vibrating, but I ignore it. It’s probably my mom wondering where we are.

Or Ashton… I push the thought from my head. He has no business being in this room with us—with me.

When I’ve come down from my orgasm, Brayden climbs back up and our eyes meet. His strong arms cage me in, and his hard-as-steel dick presses against my center. His body feels warm against mine.

“Do you have a condom?” he murmurs. It takes a second for the words to sink in, but once they do, the fog of lust disappears and the reality of what we’re about to do, appears.

“I’m a virgin,” I blurt out. Brayden’s eyebrows shoot up to his forehead and he sits up, taking his warmth with him. Leaving me lying here, naked and vulnerable. Instinctually, my arms cross over my breasts in an attempt to somewhat cover myself. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to kill the mood.”

“No, I’m glad you said something.” He falls onto his side, then pushes my hair off my face, tucking it behind my ear.

“I don’t know if I’m ready… for that,” I admit, hating how young I sound, when Brayden is no doubt experienced. “I’m sorry,” I repeat.

“Hey, don’t ever apologize for wanting to wait.” He presses a soft kiss to my lips that has me sighing into his mouth.

“It’s not that. I just… I’ve never been with someone I wanted in the way I want you… until now.” My eyes meet his, and he smiles the most beautiful boyish grin. “I don’t have a condom, but—”

A phone vibrates again somewhere and Brayden groans. “We need to get to that charity function,” he says. “I want to be with you so fucking badly.” Our lips once again meet for a moment before he pulls back. “But not like this, not for your first time. Your first time should be slow and romantic. You should be worshipped.” He kisses the sensitive spot behind my ear and butterflies attack my belly. “We should get ready to go.”
