“Mmm. I want you to fuck me in Vegas,” Declan said against my lips.

“I mean, it’s not like I’m gonna say no to that.” We left our bags on the floor, kissing and laughing our way to the bed. It was amazing to me sometimes, the changes my life had undergone since I’d walked in and caught Neil with Drake. It had put me on the path I was always supposed to be on, with the man who was tugging me out of my clothes right now and laughing when my shirt got caught on my ear.

“Put those things away,” Declan joked.

“Did you just say I have big ears?”

“I would never.” He sucked my left lobe into his mouth, and I trembled.

We got naked, fell onto the mattress, and I did exactly what Declan wanted. I fucked him until we both collapsed into a sweaty heap of limbs and cum.

“Do you think we have time for a nap?” I asked.

“If we turn off our phones, we do.” He laughed as he walked naked to our phones and grabbed them. He turned off the ringers, then joined me again, lying on his stomach, one leg thrown over me. We’d ditched the condoms a while back, after test results confirming we were both negative. He was the first person I’d ever had sex with bare, and it was the same for him.

Declan passed out, but for some reason, I couldn’t sleep. I ended up grabbing my laptop and sitting on the bed beside him, writing. I still wasn’t sure what would come of this, but I loved doing it—loved writing my queer story about two men who’d stumbled into each other’s lives, and after years and numerous close calls, shenanigans, screw-ups, and bloopers, end up getting it right—with each other.

I wasn’t filming another movie, and for the time being, I didn’t have plans for one. If the right film came along, something I fell in love with, I would take it. But it would have to be something I was passionate about. I spent years taking the right roles to keep myself relevant, catering to specific viewers. I didn’t want to do that anymore. I refused to.

If it didn’t work out or I didn’t get a role I loved, then that would be okay too. I had choices and knew that no matter where the future took us, Declan and I would conquer it together.

He slept for a little over an hour before his lips brushed against my skin, his body beginning to come alive. “Writing again?”

“I can’t help it. The characters won’t leave my head.”

“I bet that’s a good feeling.”

I knew he would get it. He always did. “The best.” He cocked a brow at me. “Okay, the second best,” I amended.

He chuckled. We got out of bed, and Declan went straight to his phone. “Corbin is blowing me up. He says we have thirty minutes to get ready or he’s dragging us out even if we’re naked.”

“We better hurry up, then.” Because the truth was, I had no doubt Corbin would. He’d break into our room if he had to. The little shit was determined.

We showered together and had just finished dressing for our night out when the banging started on our door. I pulled it open to see Parker, Corbin, and Marcus waiting for us, all dressed nicely for dinner and the club afterward.

Corbin whistled. “Damn, Sebastian. You clean up nice.”

“Thank you.” I winked, just as Declan attacked him and the two of them started wrestling around in the hallway like a couple of children.

“Stop. You’re going to mess up my hair.” Corbin fought to get away from Declan, who was trying to give him a noogie while telling him not to hit on his boyfriend.

“They’re ridiculous,” I said.

“Yeah, but that’s what makes us all so lovable,” Parker replied.

“You guys are lovable?” Marcus chimed in.

Corbin finally managed to get away from Declan, and began straightening up his clothes. “You do know you’re supposed to be nice to me on my birthday week, right?”

“Your birthday week?” Marcus didn’t look impressed.

“Yep. I’m worth at least that.”

We shared a laugh before heading out.

Dinner was great, like it always was with them. I loved spending time with the guys, and had started to do things on my own with them as well. Each one brought something different to the group, and I adored them all.

After the restaurant, we went to a gay bar Corbin had been dying to visit. We’d come there especially for it, and from the line around the block, I could see we weren’t the only ones.

Corbin skipped it, and we followed, Declan’s hand firmly clasped in mine. A few people pointed at us when we walked by, clearly recognizing me, but they didn’t say anything, though some raised their phones and took photos.
