But not just any men.

No, these are two of the most gorgeous examples of the male species I have ever laid my eyes on: each one tall, broad-shouldered, with wide chests and bronzed features. These are the kind of men that are so handsome that even my fantasies couldn’t have done their good looks justice.

I remain standing by the doorway, immobilized by surprise and attraction. I watch as Jensen walks boldly into the room, striding into the space as if he’s the one in charge. But taking in the keen, piercing blue eyes of the two strangers, I know it is them and not Jensen who are in control of what’s about to happen.

“Gentlemen, thank you for waiting.” Jensen’s voice is thick with false deference.

“Sure.” One of the handsome men speaks, his voice brusque and deep.

“As you can see, I’ve delivered on my promise.” The oily man rubs his hands together, licking his lips as he looks back and forth from the two strangers over to me.

“So you have, Jensen.” The second man speaks, his voice deep and smooth. The two men’s eyes slide to me and the heat is immediate. They take in my lush figure, ensconced in the blue cocktail dress, and then their eyes drop to my legs before trailing back up to my heaving breasts. I gasp, barely able to breathe.

“Do you have the…?” Jensen raises his eyebrows and the two strangers exchange a quick glance.

“We do.” One of the men hands Jensen a briefcase. Jensen opens the case to reveal several neat stacks of cash, the bills still bound in their currency straps and obviously crisp, even from a distance.

What the hell is happening? I ask myself as I watch the odd scene unfold before me.

“It’s all there?” Jensen asks as he thumbs through the stack of bills, his eyes wide with greed and some drool escaping his mouth.

“Funny, you don’t trust us? After insisting that we trust you?” The second man mocks, his voice deep and velvety.

Who are these guys?

It’s embarrassing to admit, but I’m incredibly attracted to the two men, despite their forbidding appearance. Plus, the fact that they’re doing business with Jensen isn’t exactly a good sign either.

But what am I doing here? I let my gaze drift between the two men then over to Jensen. Am I just supposed to be Jensen’s witness for something shady?

I watch as my boss tucks the cash safely back into the briefcase. He squeals a little, the sound echoing the large, empty room. He pulls a piece of paper from his pocket, writes something on it, and hands it to one of the men.

Just as I’m wondering if I have any part in this, Jensen turns to face me.

“Come here Michelle,” he barks, and I nearly jump out of my skin.

I cross the few yards further into the room and stop so that I’m not too close to either Jensen or the two handsome strangers. I watch the men warily, trying to contain my unexpected attraction before scolding myself. You’re in the middle of some kind of shady transaction, the voice in my head says. You shouldn’t be lusting after these two guys.

But Jensen takes over then.

“Gentlemen, this is Michelle Sutton,” he says with a flourish of his hand. “Michelle is twenty-five-years old, beautiful, curvy, and certainly a specimen of Grade A, prime female flesh. Perfect for what you need.”

What? What the hell is he saying? I’m not a piece of prime rib to be sold to the highest bidder! But two pairs of bright, crystal-blue eyes shift to look at me. I blush and stare down at my feet, caught off-guard by the two men’s candid scrutiny. Their gazes make me shiver in place again, my nipples going hard under their assessing looks.

Then, Jensen steps close to me and gives me a nudge. I flinch away from his touch, nearly bumping into one of the gorgeous men.

“Sorry,” I mutter. The handsome stranger catches my arm to steady me and I feel a bolt of electricity shoot through my body.

“I’ve got you.” He smiles and I feel my knees go weak.

Get a grip, Michelle! I scold myself, my cheeks blushing. The gorgeous man sees this, and smiles knowingly.

“I’m Gabriel Costas.” He offers his hand and I shake it, feeling that same static flow through my body.

“And I’m Tom Costas.” The other man presents his hand. To my astonishment, my heart leaps at his touch too.

Okay so two hot guys shook your hand. How much more pathetic can you get? I want to roll my eyes at my teenage-like angst, but instead I smile tentatively at Tom and Gabriel.

Costas? I know that name.

“Hi, I’m Michelle,” I say in a small voice. Jensen butts in again.

“Well, as you can see, I’ve upheld my end of the bargain – ” Tom holds up his hand, effectively cutting Jensen off mid-sentence.
