He rolls onto his back and pulls me close while I wonder if I’m losing my mind. I just spent the last hour or so trying to convince Rafe to give me time, and I’m the one who wonders if that’s what I really want.

“I love you, too.” I place my chin on his chest and stare into his eyes. “So much.”

“I’m glad.” He smiles down at me before getting up and looking for his pants. “I had this in my pocket, but my proposal didn’t go as I’d planned.” Rafe smirks before slipping a huge ring on my finger.

As I stare down at the massive diamond, tears fill my eyes. “I love it,” I whisper before kissing his lips.

My gratitude turns into another marathon lovemaking session that leaves my southern region sore and throbbing. Totally worth it.

Chapter Eleven

Rafe

I don’t ever want to wake up from the best motherfucking dream ever. My eyes roll back in my head as Oakley runs her soft tongue around the tip of my shaft. She hums around my sensitive flesh, sending my pleasure soaring through the roof.

I slide my fingers through her silky hair and grasp the back of her head. “It’s about time you wake up,” she grumbles, and my eyes pop open. “I can’t believe you slept through all my work.” Oakley goes back to work, licking her way from the tip of my cock all the way down to my balls.

When she wraps her soft hand around my balls and lightly squeezes, my knees shake with the effort to hold back my orgasm. I can’t believe I missed part of this.

“Sorry,” I tell her. “You’ll have to give me a chance to make it up to you,” I manage to push past my dry lips as she takes my dick to the back of her throat. My little love is a fast learner.

Within a few moments, I realize there’s no way I can stop the orgasm that’s moving up my body.

“I’m about to come,” I warn Oakley, but she ignores me and sucks harder. As my cum shoots down her throat, I shout her name while fireworks go off behind my closed eyelids.

“I really like how you say good morning.” I pull her up against me and lean over to kiss her soft lips.

“I’ll remember that.” She relaxes against my body, and we both end up falling back asleep. We wake up around noon and rush through our showers and packing so we can get back to Silver Spoon Falls before it’s too late.

Over the next few weeks, we plan our small, intimate wedding. Oakley refuses to invite her parents. “They don’t want to have anything to do with me unless I let them rule my life,” she tells me. “I don’t need them. I have you, Aunt Tilly, Grammy, Quin, and all the rest of your club.”

My heart melts and I make a silent promise to make sure she’s too busy being happy to miss her asshole parents.

“You’re fucking kidding me.” Cash sits back in his chair and rubs the back of his neck. “You want me to get ordained online so I can officiate your fucking wedding?” My friend seems a little put out by my request.

“That pretty much sums it up.” I shrug, hoping he agrees. “My woman wanted me to ask you,” I add.

“Then I can’t refuse.” Cash sighs. “I’ll have Rulie look into what I have to do to accomplish it. When do you plan to get married?” I pull out my notebook and show him all our plans.

“Three fucking weeks. You’re only giving me three weeks?” He blows out his breath in frustration.

“You only gave us two weeks to arrange your wedding,” I remind him. When he proposed to Hadley, she was experiencing horrible morning sickness. All the brothers and Rulie and Gloria stepped in to help the President out.

“And you’re calling in your favor?” Cash glares at me for a second as I nod my head, and then presses the button on his desk to call Rulie in. “We need your help,” Cash tells him. “Forget about the Edmond files for now. This takes precedent.” He gives Rulie a list of things to do for our wedding before mumbling under his breath, “Fucking Silver Spoon Falls water.”

True to his word, Cash manages to get ordained online within a few days. All the old ladies step in and help my girl plan the frou-frou part of the ceremony while I plan the fun part. Our honeymoon.

While we’re planning our wedding, I decide to work out of my Silver Spoon Falls office permanently and promote one of my best architects to run the Houston office.

Everything is falling into place smoothly.

Chapter Twelve

Oakley

The last bell rings, and I watch all the kids rush for the door, ready for the weekend. I mentally run through the list of everything I have to get done on my days off. Our wedding is next Saturday, and I’m feeling the pressure.
