KINGSTON

It doesn’t take us long to make it to my place, where I pull into the garage in my usual spot and open the other garage door that’s usually for Mae’s car. Seeing as how she’s in New York, where a car is unnecessary, we sold it shortly after her graduation. That was also the time when Tessa left as well. I didn’t deserve an explanation, and it’s not like I sought her out after that one time in my home office. I let her go, intentionally, for her good as well as my own, something I won’t be doing again.

“I don’t know if I should be shocked or worried that you have everything so well planned. I mean, parking in the garage, talking before the fun stuff, you’re clearly knowledgeable about my wants and needs.” Tessa steps out of her car and shuts the door, leaving her purse and keys inside, only bringing her cell phone as she struts towards me; there’s no other way to phrase it. The best part is she’s has no idea her hips sway with each step, how seductive she is without trying.

“I’ve been waiting three years until you came back home, letting you live your college days. It gives a man a lot of time to plan, temptress.” I’m leaning against my car, getting a read on her before we take things further. I could have pursued her while in college; it’s not like I couldn’t use my weekends to drive down to Reno, spend time with her, and then head back home. I’m not ashamed to admit the thought plagued me endlessly, until my own daughter mentioned that Tessa had doubled her course load, worked when she wasn’t at college or studying in order to make the biggest bank out of her buck, ready to join the workforce and stand on her own two feet. So, I bided my time. Not to mention there’s no fucking way someone could accuse me of going after Tessa at the ripe age of eighteen. Sure, what we did was questionable, but the word grooming wasn’t something I’d ever be accused of.

“Really? You mean to tell me you haven’t touched another woman in three years?”

“Come on, we’ll talk inside. It’s only getting colder as the night goes on.” My hand reaches for hers, and she threads our fingers together easily.

“Plausible deniability. I kind of assumed you wouldn’t be celibate. I’m not blaming you, by the way. A man has needs. I mean, it’s not like you guys have as many options as us women do.” And now I’ll be adding that to the never-ending fantasies I’ve been playing on a reel each time I jerk my cock.

“My hand works just fine, Tessa, but I’d be interested to see exactly how you handled things on those lonely nights,” I reply. I punch the code on the alarm as we walk inside the house. It’s dark save for the one light I keep on in the living room and the outside lights to the pool giving off a shadow view.

“Touché. Maybe we can do a little tit for tat.” This woman, she’s beautiful, alluring, and she definitely keeps me on my toes.

“You’re going to give me a run for my money, woman.” I turn on the overhead light in the kitchen, using the dimmer switch so it’s not ridiculously bright and blinding as Tessa sits on a barstool, kicking off her high heels as she does. I guess I’m lucky she’s not one of those women who wear panty hose, but if she chose to wear thigh-highs with garters, I wouldn’t be opposed.

“Well, don’t you know, Kingston? That’s been my plan all along.” I stop what I’m doing, then grab a wine glass for her and a lowball glass for myself. The wine and Macallan are in another cabinet, knowing that she prefers her red wine at room temp.

“Then we’re on the same page. I’m saying it now in case you haven’t picked up on the hints I’ve given you. This isn’t only sex. You’re fucking brilliant; I know that already. What I want is to own you in more than just a sexual capacity. If things go the way I’m thinking they will, you’ll be with me permanently.” There’s a shit ton we’ll have to talk about. Tessa is younger, which means I know she’ll want marriage. I’m not opposed to that in the least, did the relationship thing once, not that it turned out to be the greatest experience. It was also years ago. Time fades the hurt and anger, though it was mainly for my baby girl. That doesn’t mean I’m jaded.

“Wow, you really don’t mince words, do you? Tell me, if I’m with you permanently, does that mean you’re okay if I want children down the road?” That’s one subject I’ve tried to put on the back burner. There’s no reason she shouldn’t want children; she deserves them, if that’s what she wants.
