The doorbell rings, and Keir moves past us to get it, coming back with several pizza boxes and bringing them to the table. Joey takes our bags and puts them at the bottom of the steps as we make our way to the dining area, where everyone’s taking a seat and talking. Chanel sits with Keir’s daughter in her lap, whispering to her and making her laugh. Sailor sits next to me while their son sleeps in his stroller.

“I’ve always wanted to go to Bora Bora. Was it magical?” Sailor asks, smiling.

“It was,” I tell her truthfully. “I’ve never had a vacation like that before in my life.”

“Keir is too busy to go, and he would hate it if I went without him.” Keir doesn’t say anything, just listens to his wife.

“What activities did you do?” his mother asks. “Scuba diving? Did you see any turtles?” his mother says with excitement. “Oh, what about jet skiing?”

I glance over to Joey to see him lower his head with a slight smirk on his face.

“Your cheeks are red. Why are your cheeks red?” Lucas asks me. “You never get embarrassed.”

“Shut up, Lucas.” Joey’s hand taps on the table.

“Did you do something dirty on the jet ski, bookstore girl?” I can feel my cheeks burning, knowing they’re bright red right now. Lucas just doesn’t seem to care.

“We did, in fact, go jet skinning,” Joey adds. “Among other things.”

“So, you two are doing well, then?”

“Of course, they are, they’re fucking,” Lucas adds with no regard to Bianca and the children in the room.

“I had…” Chanel covers the little girl’s ears, “… sex with you, and I hated you at the time.”

“Pssh, that’s different. I knew for the both of us it was just a matter of time until you realized I was your everything,” Lucas replies with his eyes locked onto Chanel’s.

“The marriage is a success then,” Keir says more like a question, looking at his brother.

Joey doesn’t say anything but grips my leg under the table, his hand sliding up until his fingers play at the hem of my denim skirt.

“I would say so,” their mother adds. From the look on her face, she couldn’t be any happier.

Lucas keeps on talking about things we have no idea about. Sailor talks to Chanel and me while his mother pours drinks. She gets to me and places a kiss on my cheek before setting the wine glass in front of me and continuing around the table.

“Took her a while longer to warm up to me,” Sailor leans in to tell me with a smirk. I smile and huff a laugh, but really, all I can think about is how his hand is sneaking up my skirt even farther.

“Hmm,” I answer, not really being able to say much right now.

Keir calls Joey’s name, but Joey doesn’t remove his hand. He simply answers him by looking his way. His fingers trail all the way up until he gets to my panties. I suck in a breath as he ever so lightly pushes them to the side and slips a finger inside me.

“I need you back tomorrow,” Keir tells him.

“I’ll be back,” Joey answers, his eyes not on me but his fingers in me.

“Joey,” I whisper, leaning into him. Everyone’s eyes fall on me. “Stop.”

He all but smirks as he leans down and kisses my cheek, then whispers in my ear, “But I love the face you make when you come. It’s officially my favorite thing.”

Someone coughs next to me, and I know it’s Sailor.

“Joey,” I groan. My hips move, but I try to keep them still. His mother is across from us, and the last thing I should be doing is coming on her son’s fingers while we sit around with the family eating lunch.

Joey doesn’t seem to care, though.

A loud knock comes on the door, and everyone stills. Even Joey’s hand pauses.

“Are you expecting a delivery?” Joey asks me.

When I don’t answer, he applies pressure to my clit.

“No.”

“Okay.” He pulls his hand away and puts it on the table. Reaching for his drink, he lifts it to his lips before taking a sip. I watch in fascination as he puts it down, his forearms flexing and his tattoos on display as his sleeves are rolled up. He turns to look at me, puts his finger in his mouth, and cleans it with his tongue.

I want to gasp, but I do nothing as he pushes his seat back and stands. He steps directly behind me and leans down to kiss my hair. “I’ll be back.” Then he walks off.

“This is nice to see, considering where you were over a week ago at the wedding,” Sailor remarks, the shock clear in her expression.

“Yes, it’s refreshing. He’s happy, and that’s all we want for him is to be happy,” his mother says, as I glance around the table and see all eyes on me.
