I tilt, driving up to meet him. “Oh God,” I cry out, feeling his ring scrape and twist. “Harder.”

“Jesus, fuck, baby, I need to slow— “

His words jumble as unashamed lust races from head to toe. I scrape my nails through his hair, pulling his lip between my teeth. “Harder,” I demand, noting the flash of understanding in his eyes.

He pounds into me, my core constricting with each movement. I’m lost to the pressure building. It’s coming fast… too fast. I need more.

“Major…”

“Get there, baby. I have you.”

He slams into me over and over, his cock growing and pulsing with each stroke.

His mouth covers mine, swallowing my scream as the orgasm rocks my body, sending me spiraling out of control. His growl vibrates against me as he slams once more, stilling, and pouring his release into me.

My thighs tighten and inner muscles clamp down at the pulsating of his cock, wanting to feel everything.

He tears his mouth away. “Shit, baby, you’re sucking me deeper.”

Empowerment takes over, hearing the strain in his voice.

I did that.

Our hearts beat in rhythm, my body trembling.

“Mine, Jewls. What you just gave me is mine.”

I nod, too spent to reply.

“I fucking love you.” His cock twitches, causing another shudder.

“Major,” I rasp, unable to form the words. Fear holds me back. This man is everything I’ve ever dreamed about.

His hands thread through the hair at my temple, his eyes now a deep, sea blue. “Do you understand now?”

“I do.”

“About damn time,” he mutters before kissing me breathless, again.

Jewls

“Fucking finally!” Harley whisper-shouts, storming my way.

“What’s up your ass?”

“Don’t sass. I’ve been trying to get you alone for hours.”

“Don’t exaggerate, you just got here.”

She flings her wrist to my face. “Three hours ago.”

“Huh, time flies.” My blasé response does not go over well. She narrows her eyes, her cheeks heating.

“You’re avoiding me on purpose.”

“Obviously, not well enough.”

“Julianna, you are breaking every rule in the best friend code.”

“Is there a handbook?”

It’s hard to keep a straight face when she stomps her foot like a toddler on the verge of a tantrum.

I peek over her shoulder and do a quick check that everyone is still busy outside. Knowing Harley, it’s best to get her out of immediate earshot. I drag her to Major’s room. “We have to be quick. Between Major, Cindy, and Ace, someone will come looking for us soon.”

“Talk.”

“What do you want to know?”

Her arms flail in the air. “I don’t know, how about everything? The last I heard, you got here safely. Then nothing but dead air for almost twenty-four hours. No responding to texts, no calls, and then dodging me since I walked in the door.”

“I wasn’t exactly dodging you, but you have a tendency to overreact.”

“That’s offensive.”

“Fine. Yesterday was possibly the best day of my life to date.” I relay the details of the trip and our night with his family. When I get to the part about Major picking the lock, she’s springing on the balls of her feet with a look I know well.

“Promise to keep it together,” I warn.

She nods, but I’m ready for her wild overreaction. “He told me he regrets all those months wasted.”

“He should. Big dummy.”

“He told me he loves me, Harley.” Saying the words sends a flood of warmth through me. The warmth is short-lived when her ear-piercing squeal echoes off the walls. My hand slaps over her mouth, but it’s too late.

“Oh my God, this is incredible! I knew it. Told Achilles this morning that this weekend was going to be huge for your relationship. HUGE. I felt it in my gut. The way he handled the neighbors when they showed up right when things were getting good—”

“Wait! You told Achilles that part?”

She grimaces. “Sorry, but it slipped out.”

“Boundaries, Jay. Boundaries.”

“Anyway, that’s not important. Achilles told me only a man who cares a lot would put up with it. Then I got here and saw you. It is obvious you’ve been laid and Major’s different, too. I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s like his aura is energized. Not to mention how he looks at you like he’s a starving man.”

Her words drone out after the word ‘laid’. “What do you mean, you can tell I’ve been laid?” I screech.

“Oh, honey, you can’t hide it.”

Blood rushes to my head, and I slump to the edge of the bed. “Oh my God, Cindy and Jim…”

“They are delighted.”

“But—”

The door swinging open drowns the words out. Ace and Major’s eyes roam over us as they make their way inside.

“Jewls? You okay?” Major squats in front of me.

“Peachy,” I lie.

“Why are you pale as a ghost?”

I glance at Harley, who’s curled around Ace’s waist. She’s biting her lip to keep from laughing.

“Your family knows we had sex.”

“So?”

“We had mind-blowing, life-changing sex in their house five times, and they know!”

His chin drops to his chest, and he blows out a breath. “Not sure they figured out those details.”
