As I walked up to Braxton, I heard him say to the woman he was flirting with, “I’m sure I can sneak away at some point.”

She slid a card his way. “Give me a text.”

Braxton took it and slipped it into the pocket of his tux.

“Hate to break this up,” I said, “but we’ve got a wedding to go to.”

The woman—who looked at least ten or fifteen years older than Braxton—winked at him when he stood up.

As we walked toward Gannon, I quietly said, “Going for cougars now, are we?”

“Dude, did you see her smoking-hot body? Fuck yes, thank you very much.”

We followed Gannon down the hallway as I said, “You seemed a little speechless when you saw Harlee walking down the aisle earlier.”

He huffed. “I wasn’t speechless.”

“Well, between you and Chip, I thought one of you was going to pass out.”

Braxton stopped and looked at me. “He likes Harlee?”

“Would you two come on. I still have no idea where Chip is,” Gannon bitched.

Before I could answer either one of them, the man himself came walking up with a shit-eating grin on his face.

“What are you smiling about?” Braxton asked, an annoyed tone to his voice.

“Nothing,” Chip answered.

I couldn’t help but notice how he and Braxton exchanged a heated look, but there was no time to ask questions. “Time to take our places, gentlemen,” I said.

We all moved to our new spots in the next room, and soon the music was playing and Palmer was walking down the aisle, followed by my beautiful bride, and then finally Harlee. I snuck a peek at Braxton and tried not to laugh. His eyes were glued on Harlee—as were Thomas’s and Chip’s. Interesting.

Then the music changed to the “Wedding March,” and Addie appeared on the arm of her father.

I watched my brother wipe away tears of happiness as he and Addie exchanged wedding vows. Sutton and I kept catching each other’s gaze, and I couldn’t wait to get her up to our room. I was going to slowly pull that dress off her and worship her body for hours.

The storm stopped just in time for everyone to head over to the reception tent. It was set up beautifully, yet simple. The wood tables were decorated with understated greenery and candles, with classic place settings that added to the elegant décor. I liked that Addie had kept everything modest while still adding special touches throughout the room. It was honestly one of the most beautiful weddings and receptions I’d ever been to, even with the hiccup of the weather.

Hours later, most people had made their way out of the tent, and I scanned the remaining guests for my wife.

“Hello there, Mr. Wilson,” Sutton purred into my ear from behind me.

Turning around, I pulled her close. She wrapped her arms around my neck, and I had to fight the urge to move my hands lower than her hips. “Have I told you how beautiful you look?” I said.

She crinkled her nose. “A time or two. Have I mentioned how hot you look in that tux?”

“A time or two.”

“Now that the bride and groom have left, I think we should sneak away.”

“Don’t we need to help clean up?”

She shook her head. “Nope, Gannon and Addie hired a cleaning crew. My folks and yours are at the bar in the main hotel. I think Braxton must have hooked up with someone, because he slipped out of here right after Gannon and Addie.”

“He met some lady at the bar earlier, before the wedding.”

Sutton rolled her eyes. “Of course, he did.” She quickly looked around the room. “Do you think they were here?”

“Who?” I asked as I dug my fingers deeper into her flesh. She smelled like flowers, and I wanted to bury my face in her hair.

“The person who writes the gossip column. I’m dying to see what they write about for Thursday. I mean, as long as it doesn’t have anything to do with us.”

“If they were here, they’re probably going to write about all the single guys who followed Harlee and your sister around like puppies.”

Sutton laughed. “Hey, did you happen to notice that Dr. Bryan was here, too? His son Charlie is a total sweetheart. And I saw the good doctor talking to Palmer for a bit.”

“I did notice he was here. Is that an issue?”

“It’s not. He asked her to nanny for his son. Addie recommended Palmer for the job.”

I somehow couldn’t see Palmer as a nanny. She seemed too carefree, and she definitely wasn’t the type of person to be tied down to one thing. Which was why she currently had a million jobs. I rubbed the back of my neck as I said lightly, “Palmer? A nanny?”

“Yes!” Sutton said, playfully hitting my chest. “You don’t see it? She has such a kind and sweet soul. She’d make a wonderful nanny. Not to mention, she’d be super fun.”
