“Thank you, cutie.” Giving Ian’s head another kiss, Bishop hugged him tight. “Well, how about I get a grown-up kiss for starters? You were distracted and already little when we got here.”

He wasn’t wrong; however, he was stealing my kiss.

“Hey, no stealing the first kiss.” I huffed as Bishop turned to gape at me and Ian just laughed. “I was promised that.”

The little traitor was nearly falling off of Bishop’s lap he was snickering so hard and Bishop was looking at me like I’d been abducted by aliens. “I can’t tell you why, but trust me. It’s mine.”

Shaking his head, he leaned back on his hands and studied us both. “One phone call and now you’ve got secrets and bribes. I’m not sure I can trust you two alone. You’re more devious than Eli.”

“Hey.” Frowning, I tried to look insulted, but Ian’s laughter made it impossible. “I’m offended by that.”

Bishop narrowed his eyes but was fighting to keep a straight face as he played the big bad Dom. “Enough to give up first kiss rights? Or whatever you two have concocted?”

I scoffed, making his façade crack. “Absolutely not.”

Ignoring his barely suppressed snickers, I raised one eyebrow and focused on our giggling boy. “Well, cutie? Am I going to have to tell your Daddy why I get the first kiss?”

The no cursing rule was going to get me a lot of bribes, so I was hoping I wouldn’t have to actually tattle.

Bingo.

“No.” He couldn’t seem to decide if he was going to giggle again or confess his guilt, but kisses seemed better than admitting he’d cursed, so I wasn’t surprised when he scrambled off Bishop’s lap. “Don’t tell Daddy.”

Yep, that didn’t sound guilty at all.

Luckily for us, his Daddy had a ridiculous sense of humor and was cackling like a kid who’d heard a fart joke. “You two…”

Ian was giggling again by the time he got to me, but once I helped him up so he was straddling my lap, his smile faded and he licked his lips. “Hi.”

It was obvious that the reality of what was going to happen had just hit him, but he didn’t move away or give any indication he’d changed his mind. He was just nervous…and he was ridiculously cute when he was nervous. “Hi, cutie. I didn’t get a chance to talk to grown-up Ian when I got here, so how about I tell you now how much I was looking forward to tonight?”

Blushing, Ian didn’t seem to know where to hide, so he was left shifting and studying my shirt. “Me too.”

Wanting to break the ice a bit, I decided a bit of a confession might help. “I was worried you wouldn’t be able to relax enough around me to let your little side out.”

Nibbling on his lower lip, Ian shrugged noncommittally. “I thought about that too, but the stress of everything else was more distracting.”

My bark of laughter had him flashing me a grin. “So I’m less stressful than the horde? I’ll take that as a compliment.”

With his lips turned up at the corner, he looked wonderfully kissable, but I waited even though it was painful. “It is. I liked hanging out with Uncle Cohen. It wasn’t stressful once I stopped overthinking it.”

Bringing one hand up to cup his face, I couldn’t fight the ridiculous grin I was probably wearing. “I’m glad.”

“You’re killing me.” Bishop’s dramatic groan from the floor had Ian hiding his face against my shoulder. “Kiss already. This is painful. I need to know what happens next.”

As Ian snickered, I rolled my eyes. “This isn’t a TV show. I was being romantic.”

“You were dawdling. He’s dawdling. Kiss already.” Bishop’s eyes were twinkling as I shot him a glare. The brat knew what he was doing, but I couldn’t get too frustrated with him because Ian was now pressed against me giggling.

“I’m not going to rush just because you have the patience of a five-year-old.” Our teasing had Ian’s chest jerking as he barely managed to suppress his laughter.

“You two would test the patience of a saint. I want to see my two men kissing and you’re torturing me.” The exasperated pup flopped back on the floor, staring up at us. “I want to see you both moaning and cuddling.”

“Your Daddy is very demanding when he’s tired.” My dry response had Ian giggling as he nodded against me. “I’m not sure we should reward his bad behavior.”

Ian giggled again, but he shifted back just enough to look at me. “But then we’d be punishing ourselves.”

“Are you saying you’re ready for your kiss, cutie?” Stroking his head, I caressed his cheek and couldn’t resist the rush of pride and excitement that fired through me as he nodded. “Well, then I won’t make you wait.”

It was more fun to torture his Daddy, not him.
