At that, Carrie’s jaw drops.

“Are you serious, Tess?” she whispers. “Oh my god, that’s rancid.”

I nod sheepishly.

“I know. It just kind of started on its own, but now, we’re a thing.”

She blinks.

“But how?”

I shrug.

“I visit him in jail.”

She waves her hand through the screen at me then.

“Oh, that’s nothing,” she says in a dismissive tone. “I mean, you guys are separated by plexiglass. You can’t touch, so really, you’re just friends.”

I shake my head then, getting ready to drop the bomb.

“No, actually Roland and I aren’t doing window visitations. We’re actually participating in a program where we meet in a private cabin on the prison grounds. There’s a bedroom, and well, you know…”

“Holy fuck!” my cousin screams, practically hyperventilating with awe. “You’re doing conjugal visits with your ex-father-in-law?”

By now, my cheeks are tomato red, and it’s totally deserved.

“I am,” I acknowledge. “It’s insane, right?”

My cousin merely crows through the screen, slapping her knee with mirth.

“Oh my god, Tess. I thought I was such a whore for wanting to do a gangbang just to impress some guy, but clearly, you’re even further off the reservation than me because you’re banging your father in law! Oh my! What have the women of our family come to?”

I merely roll our eyes.

“Don’t tell anyone about this,” I warn. “I’ll never be able to live it down.”

Carrie merely cackles some more, tears practically streaming from her eyes now.

“Don’t worry, I won’t. But still, Tess, you make you so proud. Seriously, I love it. Keep me posted, okay, because I swear, this is better than any reality TV show. This is ten times better, in fact, and I’m going to swear off Below Deck just to keep up with your life instead.”

I roll my eyes.

“It’s not that crazy.”

She merely squeals with laughter again.

“Yes, it is! I mean, your former father in law? Hell yeah! He better be hot, though, girlfriend.”

That makes my cheeks flush again and I nod.

“He is. He’s gorgeous, and older, and he takes me every which way. I mean, talking about getting plugged in all your holes,” I begin.

With that, the delicious girl talk continues as Carrie and I trade secrets on how to physically handle demanding men. After all, Roland’s a passionate lover, and he positively manhandles my curves. Yet, I love it and I can’t wait to see him again because for better or worse, I’ve become addicted to the handsome felon, and I can’t stop no matter how wrong our relationship is.

CHAPTER 7

Roland

“Thanks for coming up again,” I murmur in Tess’s ear while slinging an arm around her shoulder. “It means a lot that you keep making these visits.”

The curvy girl giggles as we stroll down the hall to the prison’s communal kitchen.

“Oh, of course,” she murmurs. “I mean, we had these visits scheduled in advance, and I didn’t want you to lose your privileges if no one showed. That can happen, right?” Tess asks, craning her head back to look at me. “You can lose visiting rights if no one shows up?”

I nod while guiding her into the kitchen.

“Yeah, but it’s more common to lose privileges for fighting and shit like that. I mean, they’ll take privileges away for any reason or no reason at all, but the guards here seem fairly sane. Anyways, I’m glad you came up because as you can tell, we’re doing something different today.”

Tess giggles, looking absolutely gorgeous in a flowery sundress with cute pink sunglasses perched on her head. Her bust strains at the laces in the front, and the skirt falls to just above her knee, revealing flashes of creamy white thigh. Fuck, I can’t wait to get in her, but first things first: I want to treat my woman right and actually arranged a date today, instead of boning Tess senseless in the cabin per usual. We’ll get to the physical part later, I’m sure, but I want my woman to feel like a princess too, and this is my chance.

“I noticed,” she murmurs appreciatively while looking about the kitchen. “I thought we were going to use a cabin again, but then the guard directed me here.”

“Yep,” I nod before while gesturing to the worn cabinets and stainless steel slop sink. “Fishkill is pretty decent when it comes to this sort of thing, actually. As you can see, we’re not locked up in our cells 24/7. We’re actually free to move around the common area, and every floor has a kitchen that prisoners can use to prepare meals. You don’t always have to eat the junk food they serve in the cafeteria.”

“I see,” Tess says while taking in the full-size stove, microwave and aging oven. “And they even provide pots and pans, not to mention ingredients.”

I laugh.

“I bought those with funds from my commissary account, but yes. We’re going to make spaghetti Bolognese today, and it’s going to be the best pasta you’ve ever had.”
