“Mmmm,” Notalus groaned as a sweet drop of precome slid down his tongue.

“Fuck, I’m ‘bout to come, Notalus.” Dustin bowed over him and moaned into the top of his head, pulling and tangling his fingers in the length of his hair as he hollered Notalus’ name before he came down his throat, his big body seizing and spasming on top of him.

Notalus drained Dustin for all that he had and still didn’t want to rise from his knees. For now, he simply savored the clasp Dustin had around him and the moans he’d been able to wrench from his core. His dick was infuriated with him for being ignored, but this wasn’t about him; this was about showing Dustin that he should be admired and revered by the gods. Notalus had never suffered the kind of abuse Dustin had from his lovers. They’d all been compassionate, giving, and eager to please. He’d give so much more than that to Dustin over time if he would allow him.

Notalus stood and allowed Dustin to lean heavily against him as he nuzzled into the bend of his neck. “Now you know… it definitely wasn’t you, handsome. It was them.”

Dustin was still trying to catch his breath when Notalus asked, “Did you mean it when you said you wanted to see my home?”

Dustin hummed with contentment as he tucked himself away and righted his clothes. With his arms wrapped firmly around Notalus’ waist beneath his heavy robe, he answered him with exhilaration lacing his voice, “I absolutely meant it. I would love to see where you live, Notalus.”

Notalus held Dustin’s cheeks and tilted his face to his, kissing his chin, then his mouth, before it deepened into something magical and soothing. Dustin took control of the kiss, and there was something so primal and possessive and also tender that it touched Notalus in places he’d closed off forever ago. After several moments, Notalus slowly eased the kiss to an end.

“Come home with me, Dustin. Let me take you to the Realm of Autumn.” Where you belong.

Dustin

Dustin paused at the seriousness in Notalus’ glare. “Shit. You mean like…”

“Right now. Yes.” Notalus had his big arms draped over his shoulders, their foreheads together, while Dustin got lost staring at Notalus’ mouth. His cheek was caressed gently while Notalus seemed to wait for an answer, but how the hell was he supposed to have a rational thought in his mind two minutes after that unbelievable blowjob? His head was still reeling, and the blood flow was just now recirculating to his brain.

Dustin bit down on his bottom lip. “Jesus… why the urgency? How about at the end of the week?”

Notalus was already shaking his head no, his grip tightening around him as if he thought Dustin was about to run away.

“I have responsibilities with the pack, Notalus. I can’t just up and leave on a whim, no matter how enticing,” Dustin reminded him.

“I understand your duties and loyalty to the pack, sweet mortal. But this is the Volkovs’ land, not yours. You are an alpha that has been forced to suppress the most important part of yourself. You are a…”

Dustin cocked his head to the side. “I’m a what?”

“Come to Fhomhair with me, Dustin, without delay… there’s something very special I want to show you.”

“I don’t think there’s anywhere you can go that I won’t follow you right now, Notalus, but what about my crops? They’ll die without my care.”

“They will not, I can assure you.” Notalus gazed down the mountain toward the cabins, so far off in the distance they looked like toys. “You have served this pack faithfully, but your talents are stunted here.”

“I don’t want them to be without if I leave.”

Notalus sighed. “Your loyalty is admirable, and I understand the pull on your heart to what you are leaving behind. Understand I’m not trying to remove you from it; I am trying to take you to where it is all born. The pack will not be deprived of your blessings. I can promise that to you. But there’s a bigger calling for you, Dustin Constus Hill, and it’s about time that you answered.”

Dustin could think of a million things he’d need to tie up before he could go on a trip. And for how long? “What about my—”

“What about your heart, what about your soul? What of your mind, Dustin?” Notalus stroked his palm over Dustin’s short hair, stopping and holding him at the back of his neck. His touch was so strong, comforting, and non-challenging that Dustin couldn’t help but lean in and agree to it all. His wolf wasn’t putting up a fight either.

“You saw the other shifters—even your farmhands were outside dancing in the fields with their mates and rejoicing at what you gave them… while you were in your home, hurt for caring more than they did.”
