I walk back to the bed and call him. "Hey, baby," he says softly when he picks up the phone. He left me this morning to go work out with a kiss on my neck.

"Hi. Listen, I know you want to surprise me and all," I start to say, and he laughs.

"You hate surprises," he reminds me.

"I don’t hate surprises." He knows me sometimes better than I know myself, and it’s both wonderful and scary all at the same time. "I just choose to know things before they happen. Anyway," I huff out, going back to the closet. "What should I wear? Is it casual or white-glove service?"

"Okay, one," he says. "I would never do white-glove service and not tell you."

"So, casual," I say, and he laughs.

"It’s casual," he confirms.

"Casual pants or casual skirt?" I ask, and he groans.

"Anything you wear will be perfect, just like you," he says, and I can hear my cousins’ fake vomit.

"See you in twenty," he says, and I shake my head, hanging up the phone. I grab my long floral skirt that hugs my hips, then goes loose all the way to my ankles and grab a tight white top that reaches just above my belly button.

I’m standing in the bathroom when I hear my door open, and I see him. "Ohh, you look nice," he says, standing behind me with his hands on my hips when he leans down and kisses my neck. His hands move to the front as he hugs me to him.

"I figured that I’d go with a long skirt so if we have sex in the car again, I can be somewhat covered." I watch his face in the mirror. "You know because last time security caught us."

"Don’t remind me." He shakes his head. "We almost got a ticket for indecent exposure."

"It would serve you well. I told you to wait until we got home." His face looks at me through the mirror in shock.

"You literally turned in the passenger seat and opened your legs and said, ‘Do I look wet?’" I roll my lips. "I almost crashed the car."

"It was a legitimate question," I say, and he just shakes his head. "Okay, let’s go. Before you fake a fight with me just to have make-up sex."

We walk out of the apartment and down the stairs. He opens the car door for me, and I wish I could say that he does it only sometimes, but he does it every single time. He opens my door for me, he pulls out my chair, he waits for me to eat. "Thank you," I say, kissing his lips and then getting in.

I watch him walk around the car, and my heart still skips a beat every single time I see him, and trust me, I’ve seen every single inch of him. I hold his hand when he pulls away from the apartment and looks out the window. "How far is this place?" I ask, trying not to ask too many questions.

"Not too far, about forty minutes," he replies, and I look over at him.

"So, not in the city." I tilt my head to the side, and he just shakes his head.

"You are the worst," he says, turning up the music louder so I don’t ask any questions. It’s more than an hour before he parks in a gravel parking lot.

"Oooh," I say, looking around and seeing trees everywhere. "We’ve never been here," I state, and he smirks at me, getting out of the car and walking to the trunk.

I get out and walk around to meet him in the back as he takes out a big picnic basket and then grabs another bag. "Are we having a picnic?" I ask him, putting my hand to my mouth.

"You said that you never had one and how romantic it could be," he reminds me, and I lean up and kiss his lips. "Now follow me," he says, and I hold his forearm as we walk onto the grass.

All I see are trees everywhere, and I can hear the soft sound of a stream coming when we make our way around the bend. I see willow trees everywhere and the creek running down in front of it. "This is magical," I say, looking up as I hear a bird flying by.

"So, you approve?" he says, stopping near the creek under two big willow trees. I can’t help the big smile on my face as I nod at him. "Good. Now, go over there." He points at me. “And let me set up.”

"I can help you," I offer, and he shakes his head and points toward the creek.

"And don’t peek either," he warns me as I walk down to the creek. The urge to look over my shoulder is huge. But five minutes later, he calls my name, and when I turn around, I’m stunned.
