“Tomorrow morning, I’m gonna take you to your office. There are some things you need to get up to speed on, I’m sure. I want you to clear your schedule for another two weeks, to be on the safe side. My guys have kept an eye on the place for you and Lindsey is doing a fine job at running things. The problem in Tupelo has been handled. The family that you thought was trashing your place moved out three months ago. Frankie forced them to leave, got one of his goons to trash the place, in hopes that you would come up there.” Luke paused to look up from his task. I was now sitting on the bed, my boots off and my pants around my ankles.

“How do you know all of this?” I was acting like Luke’s puppet as he removed my pants, pulled me to my feet, removed my shirt and led me to the bathroom.

“It’s what I do, baby. You were not in any state to make decisions, so I helped you. Is that okay?” I stood inside the bathroom and stared in shock at Luke. Was it okay? My first reaction was to slap him. Who did he think he was, handling my shit without asking me? After further thought, I figured that I should probably kiss Luke for treating my problems as his problems.

“It’s fine. Thank you.” That answer seemed to make him happy.

“Good. Let’s shower.”

Showers with Luke are like mornings with Luke-perfect. He always lets me stand under the water first and I never have to bathe myself. It seems I am always post-orgasmic and weak when we shower, and tonight is no different. Luke positions me under the water and begins washing my hair, letting me lean back against him so he can support my weight. Maybe it was the way he touched me, or the way he smelled. Maybe it was the growing erection that was pressed against the top of my ass, or the way his kneading fingers felt in my hair. Whatever it was had me craving the feel of him inside me, again.

I turned to face him, my hair full of suds from the citrus smelling shampoo, and wrapped my arms around his neck. I pulled his face close to mine and kissed him hard. He was surprised by my actions, but gave in and opened his mouth-mirroring the movements of my tongue with his own. I tried to think of Luke and the hardness that was wedged between us, but my thoughts kept returning to Linda and the way her eyes held me as she brought herself to ecstasy. The mere thought of her thrilled me, so I pushed my guilt and embarrassment to the side, and enjoyed the excitement the thought of her brought me.

“Fuck me,” I said to Luke, breaking our kiss and breathing heavy before him. Without hesitation, Luke grabbed my legs, wrapping them around him and pushed me against the wall of the shower. The way Luke kissed me was like he hadn’t been with me for days. His hands grabbed fistfuls of my hair as he crushed his body to mine. He tilted my head and kissed me hard and deep, making me dizzy from the taste of him.

“I haven’t even left and I miss you already. I swear, Dallas, I don’t want to live without you. I would be a waste of air and space if I didn’t have you by my side. You drive me fucking crazy. I love everything about you. I love the way you fit in my arms. I love the way you taste, smell… I love how you touch me. I love how much you make me feel like a man. You possess me, Dallas.”

I closed my eyes and inhaled him. His scent slid down the back of my throat, allowing me to taste him. Just the smell of his breath was magical. He smelled like a mixture of cologne, man, and Luke. As he spoke, it washed over me and I couldn’t imagine a life without him either. Everything he said to me was a reflection of my feelings for him. The feeling was heart stopping, stomach flipping, head throbbing, amazing. I loved feeling him pressed up against me, nothing between us-no clothes or space, only a few drops of water that had managed to slide down when our rhythmic breathing allowed it.

“Don’t go,” I said, my eyes still shut, my mouth speaking against his.

“I have to go. I will come back though, and I’ll never leave you again.” he said, the need for understanding in his voice so strong and evident that I would have agreed to anything he said.

“Make love to me.” I stilled at the sound of my own words. I had never asked that of Luke. I had never asked that of anyone. My mind didn’t have long to ponder on it, because no sooner than the words were out of my mouth, Luke had the water off and was stepping out of the shower.
