“You played college baseball babe. Did you like the skanks that hung around the locker room? Were they your dream girls? Or were you looking for someone nice, someone real to spend time with? That’s all Genesis is doing. I like him. He’s a great student, a good son, and a good brother. He’s not even in school on an athletic scholarship; he has a full academic ride. I have no reason to distrust him based only on the fact he’s an athlete.”

“I’m trusting your judgment. That’s why I agreed to the date. But the moment Curtis comes home upset. I’m taking my taser and baton and I’m hunting G-Man down like he’s a fugitive.”

“All I’m saying babe is Genesis is well-known and loved by the task force. If you immediately start acting like he’s not good enough to date your son – when you haven’t really gotten to know him – it’s going to cause problems… big, big 6’4”, 280 pounds, shoots two Desert Eagles at a time, problems.”

“I’ll give him a chance. One,” Ruxs stressed. “He better not hurt him. I mean it, Green.”

“Thanks Dads,” Curtis said, standing at the end of the stairs.

They turned around and saw Curtis standing there in his pajamas and robe watching them. He went into the kitchen still smirking at Ruxs.

“You’re not mad at me anymore, buddy?” Ruxs asked.

“No. I guess not. I kinda understand what you were thinking. I just didn’t know you guys were going to be so… so protective.” Curtis came and stood by Ruxs.

“We’ve always been protective. But we are taking our new, more defined roles in your life very seriously,” Green said, hugging him close.

“I get that too. And I appreciate it.” Curtis hugged Green back. “I’m going to bed. I just want to sleep in tomorrow, since it’s Sunday and be refreshed for school on Monday.”

“Night, buddy.” Green bent and kissed the top of Curtis head.

Ruxs tousled his hair like always and blocked some of the shots Curtis took at him. “Night, bud.”

“Night Dads.”

Curtis was halfway up the stairs and Green thought again about the funeral. He yelled up after him, “And you’re sure you’re ok—”

“Dad,” Curtis snapped.

“Okay. Okay.” Green laughed while Ruxs shook his head at him.

“You’re hopeless.”

Ruxs was just finishing his shower. Green was already feeling a lot better after letting the powerful shower jets beat on his back. He was glad this day was over. Things would be getting back to normal now. A new kind of normal, but normal.

He felt the bed dip and then the click of the bedside lamp before the room went dark. He opened his eyes, adjusting quickly to the darkness. The large windows were open, the cool night air blowing the thin, linen curtains. The moonlight shone in on them, providing a spotlight where they lay. His lover was about to put on a show. A saga of damn good love that would no doubt deserve an encore. Green grasped him by his shoulder and pulled to turn him over.

“You tired?” Ruxs asked him. His voice already husky with desire and Green’s mouth watered at the hard flesh nudging at his hip.

“I’m not anymore.”

No other words were exchanged. Green felt soft, warm lips close over his own. The kiss was a slow, intimate one, a kiss for real lovers. A spirited tongue dance that quickly changed into their own kissing game. His tongue chasing Green’s tongue. Tasting and moaning until the slow kisses caused a fire to flicker and grow, then spread like wildfire. The moaning morphed into groaning.

“Love you,” Green panted. He wanted to get that out there. Let his partner know this was love to him not just the fucking so often needed to affirm life after the death of someone close. Although he was sure their movements would soon become animalistic and primal.

“I love you too.” Ruxs licked his mouth sweetly. “More than I ever thought I could love someone.”

There. Green pulled Ruxs back to his mouth, and every problem in the world vanished. It wasn’t long until Ruxs was pulling Green on top of him, spreading his legs, letting Green nestle in and get comfortable. He rocked their dicks together in a slow groove. The heat was building, but it was clear that both of them wanted to preserve and enjoy this as much as possible. Soon the flames would be too out of control to extinguish.

Green lowered his body down on that strong, defined sheet of muscle that was Ruxs’ chest. His hair was still wet and slick from the shower. Oh god, his favorite. He added his own moisture, sucking and licking at the silkiness. Ruxs squirmed beneath him and he knew why. Ruxs knew where Green was about to go, he was anxious for him to get there. Green smiled against Ruxs’ left pec. He bit hard into the muscle. Savoring the grunt he pulled from him. He worked his tongue slowly until he was poised over Ruxs’ already taut nipple. Green slammed his mouth over it and sucked it hard into his mouth like it held nourishment. Ruxs bucked beneath him, held Green’s head tight to his chest, wanting the abuse he gave that firm bud.
