“I guess I’ve been good this year,” he says, setting his briefcase down by the door. He loosens his tie and pulls it off.

“You have been the best,” I tell him, rubbing my fingertips over my thighs.

“Is that pussy ready for me?” he asks kicking off his shoes.

“Isn’t it always?” I say raising my eyebrow toward him.

“Fuck, yes, it is.” The rest of his clothes come of quickly. Before I know it, he’s in the chair and I am sliding my pussy down his cock.

This is where I belong. All those years ago, I thought I was nothing to him, a nobody. Turns out I was everything to him just as he was everything to me.

I come like crazy, but after I feel his release is when I remember the news I have for him.

“I, uh, got some news today,” I tell him.

“News?” he questions before kissing my chest.

“I’m pregnant,” I say, and he stops moving.

“What?” he shouts, standing still inside of me.

“I confirmed it this morning with Dr. Spencer.”

“Holy shit! This is amazing.”

“So, you’re happy?” I ask.

“Of course. We have been waiting so long for another baby.”

“I know. I was really beginning to think that I wouldn’t be able to give you that,” I tell him.

“Have you been worried about that all this time?” he asks me.

“Yes,” I say honestly.

“Oh Nina. I am more than happy with the family have. I am sorry if I made you feel that way.”

“No. No. You’ve done nothing like that,” I tell him as he puts me down on the floor.

“Good, because that was never my intention.”

“I know that. It was my own problem.”

“You should have talked to me about it,” he says.

“It doesn’t matter now, it’s happening. Let’s get back to your birthday celebration,” I say bouncing up and down. “I made your favorite, Red Velvet cake.

“Don’t think this conversation is over.”

“I’m fine. I promise.”

“Nina,” he warns. I know that I should have told him feelings but thinking about something and putting them into words are two very different things, at least to me.

“Alright, later,” I say agreeing with him, though I really do wish he’d drop it. “It’s your birthday, we’re naked, there’s cake,” I say wiggling my eyebrows at him.

“Fuck, how did I get so lucky?” he asks me, his voice serious.

“Same way I did,” I tell him honestly. I don’t know what I did to deserve him, but I am going to keep doing it.

Then he kisses me, and I know everything is going to be okay. Life is what you make it and mine is fucking dream I never want to wake from.
