Leafless trees were covered in patterns embroidered with snow and ice, and the ground underneath—so pristine Dex hesitated to step into it. Hammer had no such qualms though and entered the fairy tale scene with no subtlety.

Dex looked around, but they were alone, if one didn’t count the deer passing through the woods at a distance. He bit back a smile and snuck up on Hammer. He had to step into Hammer’s tracks to make little noise, and once he was close enough, he jumped on Hammer from behind, set on toppling him into the snow.

Hammer’s form turned into a statue, and he wouldn’t budge, but then his sledgehammer shot up and hit the snow-covered branches, sending an avalanche of white fluff down on their heads. “You thought the fact that you got me from behind once will make things easier next time?” Hammer asked, but it sounded good-natured.

Dex laughed, hanging off Hammer and unable to make him fall. The snow dusting his face started melting, but if he let go of Hammer to wipe it off, he’d be the one landing on the cold ground.

“It’s just this snow. It makes me wanna… I don’t know, frolic.”

“‘Frolic’?” Hammer whistled and pulled him in by the waist. “How do you know such fancy words?”

Dex grinned and got to his toes, seeking a kiss. “I know all sorts of things actually. Things you wouldn’t even dream of.”

Hammer’s brows rose. “Really? What kind of things?” But when Dex took a deep breath to answer, the sneaky bastard took advantage of his distractibility and pushed him down.

Dex sucked in air as snow rolled under his collar, but then Hammer descended on him like a caped superhero diving off a building and caged him on the ground.

Dex’s teeth clattered, but he still laughed through it, grabbed a pile of snow and struck the side of Hammer’s head with it.

“That you have to prep real good for double dicking, or that snow sex isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.” He arched up and pressed his mouth to Hammer’s in a very cold kiss.

“Double dicking?” Hammer asked, despite shuddering from the cold. His skin was red where Dex rubbed in the snow, but his gaze gained a new focus, and he trapped both of Dex’s wrists.

Maybe Dex could revisit his opinion on snow sex after all? “You know, when you take two cocks at the same time. To be honest, it’s better if at least one of the guys is smaller in the dick department.”

Hammer crooked his head, and his eyes narrowed, as gray as the cloudy sky above. “We are not doing that. I did some research, and in the risk-to-gain balance, not worth the risk.”

Dex cupped his clean-shaven cheeks, warm inside despite lying in snow. “Aww… You really care about my ass, that’s actually so nice of you.”

Hammer’s big palms snuck their way to Dex’s buttocks. “Don’t want you to be unwell. Have you... done it before?” he asked, rubbing Dex’s flesh in gentle strokes, as if he were petting a cat.

Dex snorted, rubbing his thumbs over Hammer’s dimples. “Yeah, and you’re right. Lots of effort, little gain. My humble opinion? One dick is often much better than two. But I’m not a size queen.”

Hammer smirked, watching Dex for a moment that seemed to roll on forever. “Good that we agree on that, you sex stuntman,” he said and rose before pulling Dex up with a firm tug on the wrist.

Dex brushed snow off his clothes. “I like to try new things. Speaking of sex stunts though, do you think it would be possible for people to have sex when sky diving? Or would they not have enough time to come before they needed to open the parachutes?”

When Hammer started walking again, Dex followed, increasingly excited about catching Ryker.

“Why would anyone do that? You’d need to fuck while having in mind that your life’s on the line. It’s like the pull-out method but a thousand times worse,” Hammer replied, continuing down the unspoilt path.

Dex slipped his cold hand into Hammer’s. “I wouldn’t have to worry, I’d just trust you’d open my parachute on time, because you’re always on top of things. Pun intended.”

Hammer grinned and squeezed his fingers. “When we’re done with him, we might as well make use of his bed. What do you think?”

“Hell yes! I bet he’s got a fireplace there and everything. I’m really hungry too, we could do hot chocolate and the whole cabin thing, because with all the snow, we won’t have to rush with the body.”

“If we kill him in the right way, we might make it look like a bear attack. They are waking up at this time of the year,” Hammer said, holding on to Dex’s hand.

Hammer had many quirks, and had only recently sampled another man for the first time, but Dex had to admit he was doing the whole lover thing very well in comparison to some of his past boyfriends. Dex was only regretful that Valentine’s Day had already passed, because he was certain Hammer would have come up with some silly romantic shit to celebrate. Like getting them a cake shaped like a realistic heart and tickets to some indie horror movie filled with gore. He got Dex like no one else, and Dex would do anything to make him proud.
