Liam barked out a laugh and took a step closer. “Seven days is quick? Does that mean you forgive me?”

Instead of answering, I threw myself into his big, strong arms and smashed my lips against his—and I kissed this reformed playboy like he was all mine. Because he was.

Liam’s grip tightened around my waist and a second later, my back was pressed up against my car, his delicious erection pressed between my legs. When he pulled back, his lips were slightly swollen, his hazel eyes were hazy, and a smile lit up his beautiful face. “I love you, Olive.”

I let out a shaky breath and looked him right in the eye. “I love you, too, Liam. And I think our little girl is going to love you even more than I do.”

His whole body stiffened and then a loud whoop nearly deafened me. “A baby girl? Hell, yeah!” Then his lips were on mine again and I was lost and happy and aroused while his tongue took me to the moon and back. Liam kissed me until I was breathless, until he was breathless and we were staring at each other on the side of the road with goofy grins on our faces. “We’re having a daughter.”

“We are,” I whispered, my voice thick with emotion. “A baby girl.”

A horn sounded close by, startling a gasp out of me. Liam groaned and shook his head but the smile told me it wasn’t a completely unwelcome intruder. “Sheriff, what are you doing out this way?”

“Heard there was a couple of horny teenagers making out on the side of the highway and I came to check it out. I’m happy you two are working things out, but do me a favor and get a room.”

“Dick,” Liam grunted but it was good-natured.

“That’s Sheriff Dick to you,” he said with a laugh before Xander snapped a photo of us in an intimate embrace and drove off.

It was so ridiculous I couldn’t help but laugh, or maybe that was just the happiness pulsing through my body and shooting out of my pores. “You heard the sheriff, sailor, let’s get a room!”

Liam kissed me again for a long, long time. He cupped my face and held me like I was precious, like he loved me the way his gravelly voice had claimed inside the car. And he kissed me like I was the girl I wanted to be the night we created our daughter, like I was beautiful and desired and passionate.

I kissed him back with everything I had so there would be no doubt that he was worthy. “You’re more than worthy of my love, Liam. In fact, you’ve claimed a special spot that will be yours forever.”

He grinned. “Forever. I like the sound of that.

Eventually, we found that room like the sheriff had suggested. A room overlooking a gorgeous serene lake, with my very own hunk of a man to love right at my side.

Yeah, I liked the sound of that, too.

THE END.
