“Then I’ll figure something out. I won’t lie and say everything will be fine, though. I’ll have to face the other members, some of whom already want me gone. Brick and Roman will be in the same situation. If we lose that fight, they’ll kill us all. You included. That’s life here. The club stood by once when Warlock didn’t fully claim his woman. They won’t do it again. Especially since I’m his son, and I took you in as quickly as I did.”

Iris was silent for a long moment, looking into Sting’s eyes as if searching for something. Then she smiled. “OK. I wanted to hear it from your mouth. You didn’t lie or sugarcoat it, but you laid it all out there and promised to try to make me happy.” She kissed him. “I want you to always be completely honest with me. No matter how painful. In the end, I’ll defer to you if it’s something you can’t live with, no matter what I want. I hope you’ll extend the same courtesy to me.”

Sting let out the breath he’d been holding. “Well. That was…”

“Anticlimactic?” Roman chuckled.

“Yeah?” Winter put her hand on his chest and shoved away from him a little. “She agreed to this. We haven’t.” She hiked her thumb at Serelda.

“Baby…”

“Look, I’ll do it.” Winter softened her tone. “But Serelda --”

“He already told me, and I’m fine with it.” My woman. My little warrior. Her voice was soft but strong. “I’m Brick’s. The more things I have to prove that fact the better.”

I hugged her tightly, then lifted my chin and addressed my brothers. “That’s my woman.”

“It’s not like you’re in this on your own, baby,” Roman added. “Brick said he was gettin’ Serelda’s name tattooed on the ring finger of his left hand. Like a wedding band. Me and Sting thought we’d do the same with you and Iris.”

“Don’t think that’s getting you out of wearing a wedding band. You’re only allowed to take it off for safety purposes when you’re working.”

“Wouldn’t have it any other way.” Roman grinned.

“OK. It’s settled.” Sting helped Iris off his lap and slapped her ass. She yelped.

“What was that for?”

“For givin’ me such a hard time. Which gave me a hard-on. Now you gotta take care of it before Ace gets here to do the ink.”

Iris tried to scowl at Sting but ruined it with the smile tugging at her lips. “You think so?”

“Oh, yeah. Got a use for that smart mouth of yours.”

I stood, keeping Serelda in my arms as I took us to my room. I was still in the main compound but would soon move us out. There were several houses nearing completion within the fenced property grounds. The entire place was topped with razor wire, and there were guards walking the perimeter. But until we took care of this Cannibal, I was keeping Serelda inside the main clubhouse where most of the guys lived. Once she was inked, there would be a vicious wall standing between her and any danger.

Once inside my room, Serelda squirmed to get down. I thought she was about to lay into me. Berate me for the barbaric ritual I was about to subject her to. Instead, she started pulling off her clothes, eyeing me with greedy, hungry eyes.

“What are you standing there for? I need you, Brick.” She lifted her chin, so like the warrior I’d named her. “Strip.”

Well. When she put it that way.

Chapter Six

Serelda

What I could tell Brick hadn’t realized was that I could give a good Goddamn what his club demanded I do to be his. I’d do it. If it meant getting my property patch in the form of a tattoo, fine. I’d brand his name on my skin if it meant I got to keep him! He’d calmed the only fears I’d really had by getting my name inked on him as well. I’d make him spell this out, though. I wanted no misunderstandings. Just not right this second. We had unfinished business we were taking care of now.

I finished stripping before Brick and reached to unfasten his pants. Muscles played beneath my fingers, and I couldn’t resist bending down to kiss his muscled abdomen.

“Christ, woman!”

“Mmmm…” I sank to my knees as he shoved his jeans from his lean hips. Gripping the muscles of his ass, I took his cock deep into my mouth. I’d never thought I’d enjoy this as much as I did, but the night before had enlightened me to the power it gave me. Not only did I enjoy his taste, but the sounds he made when I sucked him sent thrills through me I never knew I craved.

“Fuck!” His hands bunched in my hair. I knew he tempered his reaction so he didn’t hurt or scare me, but what he failed to realize was that there was nothing he could do that would scare me. In the short time I’d known him, Brick had literally been my rock. The man who was so gentle with me, held me when I cried, showed me the joys of sex instead of only pain and humiliation. After more than a decade of avoiding men, I’d found one man I trusted with everything I was. Brick. Xander Scott. He was my man. I was his woman. He was the vice president of Iron Tzars and needed an ol’ lady to reflect his position. I wasn’t there yet, but I would be. I’d be a woman he was proud to call his.
