Griffin steps into the light, making me startle that I somehow missed a guy his size as I first stepped in.

“Hey, Zara,” he growls quietly, flashing a gorgeous smile at me as he finishes setting up a drum kit.

“Hi,” I smile like a dork as Carson shuts the door and the shelf behind us.

“I was just telling her about how we know about her making out with Anders last night.”

I groan, my face going bright red as I cringe, standing there in the middle of the room.

Griffin scowls past me at Carson.

“Nice, dick,” he growls at his friend before he glances at me, his look softening.

“Sorry about this dickhead. He’s harmless. Just an asshole.”

I grin, trying to swallow the heat in my face away. “He’s fine.”

“He just acts like a douche to make up for having a micro-dick.”

My eyes dart to Carson before I can stop myself and he rolls his eyes.

“He’s kidding,” he mutters.

Griffin chuckles. “Oh, am I?”

“You want me to whip it out for you?”

I giggle as Griffin throws a drumstick at Carson before I walk to the side of the room and set my case down to take my guitar out.

“So,” Carson calls out from where he’s setting up an acoustic base. I look back at him with a raised brow, and he grins.

“That sort of thing happen a lot in the practice rooms?”

My face burns fiercely.

“I—”

“Anders did tell us everything, by the way.”

Somehow, the red on my face burns even hotter than it was before as I just freaking cringe and wish I could melt through the floor.

He told them everything? Great, they know I was freaking masturbating in the piano room like a fucking sex addict.

I groan, turning back to slam my guitar case shut with every intention of running, not walking, back to my room and never leaving it again, when Carson’s hand lands on my arm softly.

“Hey, wait, stop.”

I whirl, my face burning and tears brimming in my eyes as I square off with him. But Carson just takes a step back, his hands raised.

“Look, I really wasn’t trying to be a dick there. Or to judge.” He shrugs. “Honestly, I think it’s pretty hot.”

It makes me grin in spite of my trying to hide it, and I roll my eyes.

“Of course, you do.”

“What, that’s a bad thing?”

I chew on my lip, our eyes locked.

“No, I just—”

“A gorgeous girl was touching herself at a piano.” Carson’s jaw tightens as he looks into my eyes without blinking. “Do you know how hot that is?”

I shiver, my whole body blushing red as I stammer and shake my head.

“I didn’t—I mean, it’s not like I went there to…” I squeeze my eyes shut and shake my head. “Okay, we’re not talking about this.”

“I mean, we kind of are,” Griffin growls lowly as he steps towards me.

“Well, not anymore,” I snap.

He stops and just shrugs.

“Okay.”

I frown.

“What?”

“Nothing.”

My eyes narrow at him. “You think I’m just a band geek prude, huh?”

Here it comes. All of my eighteen-year-old-virgin insecurities coming out through Trisha’s words.

Griffin frowns. “Zara, I never said that.”

“Well, I’m not,” I snap.

He raises a big, muscled arm and rakes his fingers through his dark hair. This playful little glint sparks in his green eyes.

“Based off what we heard about last night, darlin’,” he purrs, his eyes never leaving mine. “Trust me, we don’t think you’re a prude.”

I blush, fiercely, and my eyes burn into his with a hard look.

“What exactly did he tell you?”

He just smiles at me, this burning hunger simmering behind his eyes that makes me shiver.

“Everything,” Carson says quietly. “Anders told us everything.”

“And that labels me ‘not a prude’?”

“Definitely not a prude,” Griffin growls.

Suddenly, I realize how close we all are in the small room. Griffin is right in front of me, and I can almost feel Carson right behind me. And suddenly, one singular thought hits me, making me blush wildly as my core tightens.

Why am I so turned on right now?

Because, I am. Horribly, mortifyingly, intensely turned the fuck on.

“We should get ready,” Griffin growls, suddenly mercifully dousing the moment in cool water.

“Yeah,” I pant breathlessly, nodding as I wet my lips and quickly look away. “Yeah, lets… that.”

Whatever spell was over us seems to fade away, and we all sort of take a breath and break apart. Carson moves back to the acoustic base, I go to my guitar case, and Griffin moves back to the drums.

“You can set up over there by the shelf, prude.”

I whirl, my face red and furious, and my eyes wild as they lock onto Griffin.

“I am not—”

“Whoa, whoa,” he says quickly with a frown, his palms raising towards me. “Hey, look, I’m just trying to make a joke, I wasn’t trying to—”

“Yeah?” I spit, putting my guitar back down and standing as I turn to face him fully, my fists resting on my hips as my eyes blaze into his.
